Terminal 1, Changi International Airport, Singapore
Introduction
This is my review of the very good British Airways Lounge in Singapore’s Changi Airport.
This technically is a Business Class Lounge, with a First Class bar hidden behind a secret door – but on my visit the First Class lounge wasn’t open.
It has to be said that Singapore has strong competition for lounges, especially in Terminal 1 – with SATS Premium, Qantas Business, Qantas First and the Qatar Lounge all being absolutely excellent too!

Opening Hours
The lounge is open daily between 16:00 until 22:00, however this can be later if any of the two BA flights (to London and Sydney) are delayed.
Entry Conditions
This lounge is open to passengers flying Business Class or First Class on British Airways – or any other OneWorld carrier in those classes.
Alternatively, the lounge is open to OneWorld Sapphire and Emerald members – and this lounge is pretty good!
How to Get There
Taking a left out of Passport Control, you’ll see some escalators, with the British Airways Lounge well signposted.
Once up the escalators take a left, and you’ll see the entrance to the BA lounge on the right.
Layout
This is a fairly-sized lounge, and has a number of different areas, as well as modern decor.
Mainly the lounge has casual seating.
If you’re after something a little more occasional, there is some high-table seating which overlook the concourse of Terminal 1.
There is a cinema/TV area for watching sport and news.
For working, there is a fairly big office/working area – complete with the all important printer!
There is also a dining area for eating, complete with the usual gold bar.
The only thing I thought was missing was anywhere to sleep – but given that the Sydney layover is fairly short (around 1:30) – it may be for the better!
Food and Drink
Drinks
Mostly, drinks were self-service from the numerous self-service units. However, there are some items which can be offered via the App.
Food
Generally speaking the food was self-service from with a fairly extensive offering. Options included curries, rice dishes, potatoes and sandwiches. There was additional some fruit, cheeses, crisps and nuts.
Alternatively, if nothing has quite caught your fancy, there are a few items that can be ordered from the App, accessed via QR code. I took the beef pasta dish and enjoyed it!
Wifi
Naturally, the wifi was extremely fast and reliable.
Showers
There are around 4 showers in this lounge.I found these to be very good, and looked brand new! No Dyson hairdryers, however!
Conclusion
Singapore is in many respects a key destination for BA. Heathrow to Singapore traffic is growing exponentially post-Covid – and of course the BA15 signature flight to Sydney also connects here.
This is certainly one of the best BA lounges I’ve been to, in the world – and I look forward to going back. With that said, as I mention above, it does have tough competition!
